The 18th A3PS Conference, ECO-MOBILITY 2023, held at Palais Palffy in Vienna’s city center on November 16th and 17th, showcased cutting-edge developments in achieving 100% sustainable mobility. The event gathered over 130 Austrian and international experts who presented pioneering R&D solutions and discussed future strategies aligned with climate goals.
Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler emphasized the enduring partnership between A3PS and the Ministry for Climate Action, highlighting ongoing support for R&D in vehicle technologies since 2006. Keynote sessions featured global perspectives on net-zero roadmaps by Prof. Le Anh Tuan and the role of reFuels in mobility transition by Dr. Olaf Toedter. BMW Steyr’s Josef Honeder underscored technological openness for sustainable mobility.
Specialist sessions focused on Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCV) & Hydrogen, Hybrids & Sustainable Fuels (HYF), and Advanced Vehicle Concepts (AVC), moderated by A3PS leaders. The event also introduced a novel workshop format allowing participants to contribute ideas on achieving sustainable mobility.
The conference underscored Austria’s commitment to advancing circular economy principles in mobility, fostering collaboration among academia, industry, and policymakers to drive innovation towards a cleaner, greener future.
